A new rival to Android: Artificial intelligence-powered Nothing OS is on the way!

Car Pei talked about the future of Android-based Nothing OS. He said they are walking towards a future focused on artificial intelligence.

Aiming to challenge the structure created by Apple and Google in the smartphone market, Nothing is preparing to take important steps in the field of operating systems. Company CEO Carl Pei spoke about the future of Nothing's Android -based operating system, Nothing OS, at an event he attended. He said they are walking towards a future focused on artificial intelligence.

Nothing CEO Carl Pei said the company will focus on artificial intelligence for the future of its operating system, Nothing OS. Acknowledging Apple and Google's dominance in the smartphone market, Pei stated that Nothing aims to create its own space.

At an event he attended, Pei discussed Nothing’s plans to enhance Android-based Nothing OS with artificial intelligence capabilities. Noting that developing a new operating system from scratch would require a lot of resources, the founder said Nothing would use “AI models from big tech companies.”

According to Pei, the goal will be to integrate AI into Nothing OS in a way that will reshape how users interact and experience with their phones. Although he did not share details, he did state that they will be able to provide personalization through AI.

Some users also think that AI integration will require more data, which could create privacy issues. However, the CEO emphasized that Nothing’s focus is on improving the user experience above all else.

Despite appealing to a relatively small market compared to Apple and Google, Nothing could offer a standalone operating system if necessary, he noted.
