Microsoft has boldly launched a massive campaign to increase the user base of its Bing search engine. The company is hosting a competition with a total prize of 1 million dollars to incentivize users to choose Bing. So, in which countries will the prizes be distributed? Find out the details in our news...
Microsoft's massive campaign: planning to attract users to Bing with a 1 million dollar prize!
Firstly, the campaign, which will begin on October 8, targets users in countries such as the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany, and Puerto Rico. The prize-based campaign will work in conjunction with Microsoft's Rewards loyalty program, allowing participants to earn more raffle entries as they engage with the platform.
Initially, users participating in the competition will receive five raffle entries right away, while completing additional tasks, such as making daily Bing searches or using the Microsoft Edge browser, will allow them to reach up to 200 entries. Furthermore, the campaign is not limited to the grand prize; Microsoft will also offer a second prize of 10,000 dollars to two winners.
In addition, Microsoft is offering support to competition participants within the framework of social responsibility. When participants earn more than 50 raffle entries, Microsoft will contribute 5 dollars to donate to UNICEF and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). The company plans to provide support of up to 500,000 dollars through these donations.
It is said that this initiative from Microsoft aims to reach more users with Bing and challenge Google’s dominance. Recently, thanks to the ChatGPT integration, Bing has transitioned to a more interactive and conversational search experience, but capturing Google’s vast user base remains a challenge.
Normally, the Microsoft Rewards program offers users rewards such as Xbox Game Pass subscriptions or gift cards, but this time cash prizes will be distributed. What do you think about this? Please share your thoughts in the comments section below.
